Fun at the Swimming Pool!

We took Kennedy to the swimming pool for the first time today and she really enjoyed it! She was splashing in the water and soaking up the sun.

We were so excited that our friend Addison was at the pool today! She is so sweet and Kennedy loves to watch Addison play! Here's Addison teaching Kennedy how to use the water gun...(isn't Addison going to be a great big sister!)

Kennedy always wants to touch the water when I wash my hands so I decided to fill up the sink & let her enjoy the water. She loved it! I just hope she has as much fun in the swimming pool this summer!

Giving Kisses!

Gigi taught Kennedy how to give Kisses a few months ago & now she does it all the time...especially to Gigi! She will grab your face, pull you in close, open her month, & start shaking her head as she kisses you! (After one kiss...your face is completely wet!) She loves it & thinks it is so funny.

This weekend my best friend, Mary Beth, got married in Oxford, MS. It was a wonderful wedding weekend & we had a great time in Oxford. Kennedy really enjoyed the reception!

Corie has a 4 week old little girl, Lucy, & I have to brag on Corie...This was a very hectic weekend & Corie did an unbelievable job juggling being the Matron of Honor & full time mommy! (Jason, her husband, was a huge help & is a wonderful daddy!) And little Lucy was a perfect angel through it all!

Kennedy's Bunny Rabbit!

Kennedy's sweet cousins, Brooke & Lindsey, gave her this bunny around Easter and Kennedy LOVES it. Every night when Kennedy gets in her bed, she grabs Bunny Rabbit & loves on him. She talks to him & pulls on his whiskers until she falls to sleep.

Kennedy's New View of the World!

I finally feel a little more comfortable letting Kennedy sit on the floor & play with her toys. I have been okay with her sitting on the bed & in her crib, but the floor makes me a little nervous. She is really enjoying her new found independence, but when she gets tired...she just falls over! So I will definitely continue to set the boppy around her for several more months!


....Notice the drool in the pictures...we have 2 bottom teeth coming in! You can feel them (they are sharp!) & see the tops of them.

Addison's 2nd Birthday!

I can't believe that Addison will be 2 years old this Friday! She celebrated her birthday last weekend with a Mickey Mouse themed party! It was perfect weather & Kennedy had a wonderful time watching Addison & all the older kids play!

Today was my dad's Birthday! We had a great time celebrating with him on his special day!

McCall comes to town!

My best friend McCall came all the way from San Antonio, Texas, to visit us the other day. We had a wonderful time & Kennedy loves McCall! We can't wait to see her again.

Kennedy's new trick!

Whenever I am picking up around Kennedy's room, I sit her in the bed against the bumper pad. She can't quite sit up by herself but does really well with a little support. The other day, she was determined to bite the bed rail & somehow managed to grab onto the railing and pull herself around to her knees. I couldn't believe it, but as you can see...she was very proud of herself!

Kennedy is really enjoying her toys these days & spends a lot of time figuring out how everything works.



She loves to dig through her toys and pick out her favorites...they are usually the ones that fit in her mouth!

1st Mother's Day!

Thanks to my wonderful husband and family, this was the Best 1st Mother's Day and one I will never forget. Jeremy went to a lot of trouble and gave me a very nice keepsake present from him & Kennedy! He is such a sweet husband!
The funniest part of Mother's Day was when Kennedy started saying "daaa, daaa, daaa, daaa"...looks like her first word might be dada! Jeremy kept trying to get her to say "maa, maa, maa"...it didn't work!
We went to Church with my family and Papa C had no problem getting Kennedy to sleep during Church. Then in honor of Mother's Day, the Knights of Columbus served a delicious breakfast for all the Mothers. It was so good to visit with everyone at St. Joe.

After Church, we went over to Gigi & Papa C's house to spend the afternoon & cookout. Kennedy really enjoys watching the cows!(she must get that from her Papa C)

We were all impressed with Gigi's beautiful roses!

This was Kennedy's 1st time to ride the 4-wheeler & she loved it! In a few months she will be begging Papa C to take her riding!

Being a mother is the most wonderful Blessing I have ever received and I thank God every day for this opportunity.

Here is my favorite Mom story -
A baby asked God, 'They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?' God said, 'Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you.'
The child further inquired, 'But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy.' God said, 'Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy.'
Again the child asked, 'And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?' God said, 'Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak.'
'And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?' God said, 'Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray.'
'Who will protect me?' God said, 'Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life.'
'But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore.' God said, 'Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you.'
At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, 'God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name.'
God said, 'You will simply call her, 'Mom.'
