In celebration of the 1st Night of College Football, Jeremy fired up the Grill and put Kennedy in her Cheerleading uniform to watch the Game! We are all very excited about this Football Season and tonight we cheered on Steve Spurrier & the South Carolina Gamecocks. It was a fun game (mostly because we LOVE College Football & Steve Spurrier), but our little Cheerleader didn't quite make it to half-time.

Peek-A-Boo
Kennedy has always loved Peek-A-Boo and now she can play too! When you say "Peek-A-Boo," she puts both hands on her head. She hasn't quite figured out how to cover her eyes! (I use to be able to say Peek A Boo when I took her picture to make her smile, but as you can see, not any more!)

Reading alot these Days
We have read to Kennedy since before she was born and she is finally really into books. If she sees a book, she crawls over to it, sits there, turns the pages, points to the animals (she really likes cows & bunny rabbits), and just talks up a storm. Surprisingly, every now & then she will even sit in our laps & let us read to her (this is rare because she is not very still these days!)

Kennedy is now taking Calls
Kennedy loves the telephone. Whenever Jeremy or I are talking on the phone to family, we will hold the phone to Kennedy's ear & let her talk or just laugh in the phone. So now when her play phone rings, she picks it up and starts talking and then trys to hold it to your ear. She is so funny!

Monkey Feet
For the past few weeks during bottle time, Kennedy has been working on holding the bottle with her feet. She spends the whole time removing one hand at a time to see if she can support the bottle with just her feet. Every so often, she moves both hands real fast. She never ceases to amaze me!
I guess if I spent half my day holding a bottle, I would get creative too!

10 Year Reunion - MCHS Class of 1998
This past weekend was my 10 year Class Reunion. Here are some pictures from the weekend.
Friday Night was a social at the Bulldog for "Class Members Only." It was really good to see all the folks I haven't seen in 10 years. Some people haven't changed a bit.

Weekend at Papa C & Gigi's & Ansley Claire's Birthday
This past weekend, Jeremy & I went to Memphis for a wedding & Kennedy stayed with Papa C & Gigi all of Saturday and most of Sunday. Gigi had to work all weekend, so Papa C had Kennedy all to himself. To no surprise, Papa C did a wonderful job with Kennedy. He & Kennedy played, laughed, ate, took naps, rode around in Kennedy's little car, went to Ansley Claire's 2nd Birthday Party, and to Church on Sunday! Papa C even managed to get the bows in Kennedy's hair for the party & Church. I definitely think he deserves a Grandfather of the Year Award! Gigi was able to get a little play time in with Kennedy, but if you have ever seen Papa C with Kennedy, you know that he doesn't let anyone else hold her, feed her, or do anything for or with her!
Here are the pictures Papa C took from the weekend. He said he didn't take very many because he had to take care of Kennedy and couldn't worry with the camera. (I understand & was definitely glad his attention was 100% on little bit.)

Kennedy at 9 months old
It is hard to believe that Kennedy is already 9 months old. We had her check up today and she was a wonderful baby. She was not crazy about the nurse taking her blood, but was okay after they put the Band-Aid on her finger. Her favorite part of the Doctor's office is the paper on the table! She loves it & as soon as she sits down she goes to tearing and slinging paper. She definitely leaves her mark!
The Dr. said Kennedy is a very healthy, beautiful little girl. She was 29 inches long, weighed 14 pounds, 11 ounces, & her head measured 44 1/2 cm. They did a blood test this visit & everything looked great! Here are some pictures from our visit.

At 9 months old, Kennedy is a very friendly baby, shares her paci and toys, scoots around everywhere, says Dada & Mama all the time, waves Hi & Bye to everyone, sees her picture on the wall, waves & trys hard to say KK, loves to blow kisses, especially when you say "I love you!" & "thank you!", and is really good at going "plupppp" with her mouth. Her favorite toy is her set of blocks! She loves to knock them down, put them in the box & dump them out. She thinks her Mommy is the funniest person in the world. Loves her Daddy more than anything (definitely a daddy's girl!) Her favorite baby food is still carrots although she does like green beans & rice. Favorite part of her day is bottle time!
These past 9 months have been absolutely wonderful. It is true...time flies when you are having fun!
