We are so EXCITED...

that Kennedy is going to be a Big Sister!

That's right, we are expecting baby Hutto #2 on April 8, 2009! We are so grateful for another one of God's blessings.
Hopefully, I can answer all of your questions in this one blog...
(1) Yes, the pregnancy was planned. We really do want our children close in age.(that has been the #1 question, when we tell people we are expecting Baby #2)
(2) Kennedy & the new baby will be about 17 months apart (1 year apart in school)
(3) I am feeling good, about the same as I did with Kennedy. (I am so grateful to be having another little angel, that I refuse to complain.)
(4) We would love to have another little girl or a sweet baby boy.
(5) We will probably stop after this baby, unless we win the lottery!
(6) I will continue to work full time after this baby. (I really enjoy my job, especially the wonderful people I work with!)
(7) If it is another girl, we will use the same initials as Kennedy's name (name already decided). We have agreed on one boy name, but it is not set in stone yet.
(8) We are going to find out whether it is a boy or girl at our next Doctor visit!
That's all I can think of for now, but I will do my best to keep you updated.
Again, we are absolutely thrilled to be expecting another sweet baby. Please keep us in your thoughts & prayers over the next several months.

Minky Dot

Kennedy loves anything & everything made out of Minky Dot material. Everytime she sees it, she darts to it to bury her face in it. At night she tries to get as close as she can to the sides of her bumper pad that are covered in Minky Dot. She loves it!

Update on Table Food

Good news to report...Kennedy is doing much better with eating her table foods. Things she would not eat a week ago, she is gobbling up this week! She really likes her veggies, biscuits, waffles, & cheerios. She is very particular about which foods she will feed to herself. For instant, she will not pick up & eat any of her peas or things that feel weird to her. If she doesn't like the way it feels, Princess Kennedy will not eat it. So some things we have to feed her with a spoon. We are not going to complain though because we are so glad that we are almost off baby food!

Eating Cheese toast & blackeye peas

She climbed into my lap & ate my rice, hamburger meat & gravy dinner! Again, she can eat it anyway she likes, as long as she is eating table food.

Weekend with the Rebels!

Despite losing the ballgame, we all had a GREAT time in Oxford this weekend. Kennedy did so good all afternoon in the Grove & thanks to Gigi, she even managed to get in her evening nap! We can't wait until our next trip to Oxford...

We were so excited that we got to see our
Best Friend Katharine in the Grove!

Very Brave Baby!

Kennedy had tubes put in her ears this morning & she did GREAT! (much better than I did!) This was definitely the scariest thing Jeremy & I have had to do since Kennedy was born, but it was the right thing to do. You wouldn't have known it to be around this sweet baby, but Kennedy has had quite a few ear infections here recently. So, we went to see the ENT on Tuesday & were at the Hospital at 6:15 am this morning for surgery.

Here is a very scared mommy & hungry baby 1st thing this morning.
(What we thought was going to be hard was no morning bottle until after surgery, but believe or not, Kennedy never cried this morning until the nurse took her from me to head to surgery...that's when I cried too.)

(Note: Kennedy is wearing the smallest hospital gown I have ever seen.)

Very Happy Baby! (this is when Jeremy & I started feeling better.)

The Toy Cabinet

Kennedy is really into opening & closing cabinets & doors. And the other day, she discovered where I hide her living room toys. Now, when she gets tired of what is out, she heads straight for the toy cabinet & gets what she wants! She really just enjoys pulling it all out & emptying the baskets. Things are definitely getting fun around our house!

Multi-functional Toys

Kennedy seems to always find a new use or purpose of each & every toy!

Who knew there was a tunnel in the living room!?!

Moving to the Big Bath Tub

Well, I have held off as long as I possibly could, but I had to finally give in & move Kennedy to the big girl tub! With her being so petite, I have been able to keep her in the baby tub for 10 months, but now she is just too long & can't get comfortable. She loved the big tub! It is definitely a little more work for me because this little fish is everywhere, but it is worth it because she has some much fun!

Table Food

We have recently started Kennedy on Table Foods & it has been very entertaining. When she doesn't like something (like french fries, potatoes, waffles, etc), she makes a really funny face, acts like she is going to gag & then begins to throw every piece of food on to the floor. Some foods she doesn't even taste, she just picks it up & gets rid of it! Here are some pics of what she does like...Crackers, Gold Fish, Oreos!

She stole this Oreo right out of my mouth...she didn't eat it all, but for the short period I left her alone with it, she enjoyed every second!

Swinging with Daddy!

After all the rain we had, Jeremy & Kennedy took advantage of the beautiful day on Sunday & enjoyed some play time in the Sun! They had the best time swinging!

Always on the Phone

These days Kennedy is always on the phone! She must get that from her Daddy!(ha!)

Dialing away...

Just a talking...

Toys Everywhere

This past Sunday, Kennedy decided that she needed to have all of her toys out on the floor. She carefully unloaded an entire basket of toys and lined them all up! Good news is that after she was completely satisifed with her toys being all over the place, she began to quietly place them back in the basket.

As you can see, great thought went into placement of every toy.

Clarksdale

This past Saturday Jeremy, me, Kennedy & Papa C went to Clarksdale to visit our best friends Julie & Scott Flowers. It was so good to see them. We haven't been to their house in a couple of years & they have really added some great decorating touches! I absolutely LOVED the new back porch & the beautiful Kitchen curtains! We had lunch together as soon as we got there & then the boys headed out to the farm to dove hunt. The guys were so excited about hunting & had a wonderful time. Julie, Kennedy & I had a great time visiting and watching the Ole Miss Game. (Can't believe the Rebels didn't win.) The boys hunted until dark, so we were not able to have dinner together because Miss Kennedy was already out for the night. We loaded up the sleeping princess & headed to Oxford for the night to check on the house. It was a quick trip but a fun one. We already miss you guys! We can't wait to see you in the Grove in a few weeks. We will have to have dinner together then! Love you lots.
Sorry, I have no pics...I don't think I ever quit talking long enough to pick up the camera!

Ole Miss v. Memphis

Last Saturday we loaded up the car & headed to see the Rebels play! After we got to Oxford, Kennedy got a good 3 hour nap and then we finally made it to the Grove not long before kick-off. There are a lot of people we wanted to see, but there just wasn't enough time to visit with everyone. (promise we will see you guys next time!) The best part of the weekend was that Ole Miss WON!!!

so he could head to the Grove! She didn't budge.
